Tracy Mitchell, Director of Residential Programs

I served as a Parents’ Foundation Board member prior to assuming role of Director of Residential Programs.  Previously employed by Hartford Healthcare as Treatment Manager for Older Adult Day Program, and covering Emergency Department Clinician. Director of Social Work for homecare agency with eight office oversight in state of Connecticut. Yale Psychiatric Institute as a start to career as inpatient clinician. Private Practice psychotherapist over twenty five years. Other accomplishments include: University of Connecticut, Masters of Social Work Substantive Focus Mental Health; Member of Academy of Clinical Social Workers; Licensed Clinical Social Worker State of Connecticut; Gestalt trained, three years, CBT, DBT focused.

Favorite Activities with Residents:

Early morning coffee and one to one talks, listening to and getting to know a resident and their journey, teaching nutrition/food groups and how much one is able to consume with portions, so eye opening.

Each day helping a resident get closer to reaching a goal, seeing an individual truly happy and content with an accomplishment well done.
